Safeguarding is the action that is taken to
promote the welfare of children and to protect
them from harm. This involves protecting children from abuse and maltreatment, preventing harm to children's health or development and ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care.
We have been talking about safeguarding in assembly and all the children know that if they have a worry or a concern, they can talk to the School’s Designated Safeguarding Leads, who are Miss Turner and Mrs Brockington. This is the same if parents ever have any queries or concerns regarding safeguarding.
This week the Community Inclusive Trust completed a Safeguarding Audit here at school and I am delighted to tell you that they found that we do an excellent job of keeping our children safe. Our visitor was particularly impressed with the way in which the children were clear about the safeguarding procedures that we have in place and commented on what a positive ethos we have across the school.
