Caythorpe Primary School

Inspiring the future

Sport At Caythorpe Primary

Wow what a start to our Platinum sporting year it’s been. We have already had lots of fun taking part in 5 different events - Tchoukball, Handball, Active Maths Challenge, Volleyball and a Girls’ Football festival run by the Carres’ Outreach team.

The children, as always, have shown many of the School Games sporting values (Determination, Passion, Respect, Honesty, Self Belief and Teamwork) whilst representing the school; whether they have been ‘having a go’ at a new sport or competing for medals in a competition.

A big well done to all of the children who have taken part so far. Follow us on Twitter @Caythorpesport and log on to www.peresults.co.uk using postcode NG323DR (no spaces) to see how we get on every week.

As you may know Ricky Pledger from Carres’ Outreach, who had worked with us for the last 5 years, left at the end of last term to become the School Games Organiser for Lincoln and Gainsborough. We would like to thank him for all of his hard work and the opportunities that wouldn’t have been possible without his support. We now have Mattie Green from Carres working with us every Thursday and he has already made a really positive impact on our PE lessons.

Finally a thank you... We wouldn’t be able to do as many of the events as we do without parental support and help with transport - we managed to take 18 girls (from Y1-Y6) to the football festival which was fantastic! We really do appreciate any offers of help that we get - Thank You!
