School Closure - Response Needed
As you will be aware, the Government announced last night that it was closing all schools nationally from 5:00pm Friday 20th March. However, this was not a blanket closure and schools have been asked to stay open for children falling into the following two categories:
• Children of Key Workers (the Government will provide a list of the Key Worker groups, which will include NHS workers, delivery drivers, police, fire and ambulance crews however this list is not exhaustive).
• Vulnerable children (children who have a social worker, social care involvement or an EHCP)
School will remain closed to the majority of pupils as of next week but will be open on Monday 23rd March to provide a safe place and care for vulnerable children and the children of key workers. To plan for this provision we need to know how many families might be eligible and need to send their children in to school. We would be grateful if parents could click on the following link and complete this survey so that we can plan staffing for Monday:
If your child is currently eligible for free school meals we have already been in touch with more information about how we will continue to provide this service.
