The Role of the Governing Body

The Governing Body exists for the benefit of the school and is responsible to the parents of every pupil. Our governors have a key role to play in helping Caythorpe to provide the best possible education for all of its children. The governors work closely with the staff to ensure that high standards of provision and attainment are maintained and improved.

The governors are very supportive. They give freely of their time to help improve the quality of education provided. Parents are represented on the governing body by democratically elected Parent Governors who are happy to hear your comments at any time. Each year the Governors organise a Parents’ Questionnaire to ascertain the views of parents about current issues; they also provide an annual report for parents.

Governor Meetings

By law the Governors must meet at least once a term. The minutes of Governors’ meetings are available for inspection in school.
