Safeguarding is of paramount importance at our school and we comply with the statutory expectations of 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' (latest edition- see below). We also understand our responsibilities under PREVENT duty and all our staff have annual safeguarding training.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Helen Hunt, Headteacher.
The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Miss Sally Riches.
Our staff and regular volunteers have all the required safeguarding checks and we have a secure and safe site.
Please also see our Child Protection Policy attached below. We have added an appendix to this to reflect the COVID-19 situation.
As a school we work hard to promote a culture of safeguarding and to respond to our local context. This is reflected in our policies and processes as well as in our PHSE curriculum and in teaching children how to be safe on line. We also provide information evenings to parents re online safety.
In light of COVID19 we have been reminding parents about keeping children safe on line due to the increase of home learning and screen time. This link is a useful reference point for parents about keeping children safe online.
